What actually happens in 14 days
Days 1-2 are the most important. You sit with the founder and answer one question: "What is the smallest thing that proves someone will pay?"
If the answer is vague ("I want to disrupt healthcare with AI"), the project will fail regardless of timeline. If the answer is specific ("I'll charge dentists $200/month to auto-draft insurance claims"), the project can be scoped.
The scope for a $200/month insurance claim drafter is small: a form, a prompt, an output, a Stripe button. That's 3 features, not 30.

The objection: "But 14 days isn't enough for a real product"
This is the most common pushback. It comes from people who've never shipped fast.

The pattern: the MVP is never the final product. It's the smallest thing that proves the hypothesis. The product that matters is the one you build after you've talked to 100 users.
When 14 days isn't right
If your product requires: - FDA approval - SOC 2 Type II certification - Hardware integration - Enterprise procurement cycles
Then 14 days is wrong. But those are 1% of AI products. The other 99% are software, and software can be 80% complete in 2 weeks if you stop adding features.
The compound effect
Month 1: Ship MVP. 10 users. Month 2: First paying customer. 50 users. Month 3: Iterate based on feedback. 200 users. Month 6: $5K MRR. Decide: scale, pivot, or sell.
That's the path. The alternative is month 6 with no users, $120K burned, and a pivot that costs another 6 months.
The choice isn't "fast vs. slow." It's "compounding learning vs. compounding cost." Speed is just the mechanism.
