How to Build an AI MVP in 14 Days (Without Burning Cash)
The exact framework we use to ship AI products in 14 days. From idea to deployed product to paying customers — without a $200K agency.
Most AI MVPs die in planning. Founders spend 6 months architecting, 3 months hiring, and 3 months building — only to discover nobody wants what they made.
Here's the 14-day framework we use to avoid that.
Day 1-2: Lock the scope
The #1 reason MVPs fail: you build too much. The fix: write down 3 things your product MUST do to be validatable. Not 10. Three.
If you can't list them, you don't understand your idea yet. Book a customer call instead.
Day 3-10: Build in 1-week sprints
Backend, frontend, AI integration — all in parallel. Don't wait for one to finish before starting the other.
Use the AI tools you sell. Cursor for code, Claude for architecture, Vercel AI SDK for the LLM layer. Let AI do the heavy lifting while you review and refine.
Day 7: The Midpoint Check
This is critical. At 50% completion, show the user. Get feedback. Adjust scope if needed. Most MVPs are killed by silence — founders build for 3 months and the user has moved on.
Day 11-14: Ship, don't perfect
Cut scope. Ship the smallest thing that proves the hypothesis. A rough UI with the core feature working beats a beautiful app with no users.
Deploy to production. Get it in front of real users. Measure what they do, not what they say.
The takeaway
Speed is a strategy, not a goal. The faster you ship, the faster you learn. The faster you learn, the faster you build something people want.
That's the entire game.
